I have had eczema and seborrheic dermatitis since I was a child. By my mid-thirties, I had lost 30–40% of the hair on my crown. Not from genetics — from chronic inflammation that no one connected to my skin condition.
I spent over 500,000 SEK on treatments, clinics, prescriptions, and specialists across three countries. PRP injections, finasteride, ketoconazole rotations, elimination diets, cortisol testing. Some things helped temporarily. Nothing lasted.
The turning point was not a product. It was realising that every treatment I had tried addressed the last step in a five-step cascade. The flaking was the symptom. The system underneath — insulin, cortisol, immune signalling, biofilm, sebum composition — was the actual problem.
Once I mapped those drivers as one connected system, things started to shift. The flares became predictable, then manageable, then rare. I regained 15–20% of the hair I had lost.
Childhood
Eczema from an early age. Prescribed steroid creams. The pattern began: temporary relief, then return.
Teens – 20s
Itching outside the nostrils. Yellow flakes on the eyebrows. Then the scalp. No doctor explained what it was or why it kept coming back.
30s
30–40% loss on the crown. Specialists blamed genetics. No one connected it to the chronic inflammation I had lived with for decades.
2014–2023
PRP, finasteride, clinic visits across Sweden and abroad. Some improvement when living in warmer climates — sun, sea, lower stress. Back in Sweden, everything returned.
2023–2025
I stopped chasing products and started mapping mechanisms. Seven root drivers. Three phases. One connected system. Hair began regrowing. Flares became rare.

The guide I wish had existed when I needed it. 50+ pages. 24 references. Everything I learned, structured as one framework.
Because no single resource connects all the drivers. Reddit gives you 10,000 data points. Dermatologists give you a cream. Diet courses give you a meal plan. None of them show you the full system.
I wrote this guide because the gap between what science knows and what patients are told is enormous. IL-17 pathways, ceramide deficiency, insulin–sebum cascades, biofilm disruption — this information exists in peer-reviewed literature. It just never reaches the person sitting in the dermatologist's chair.
This guide is that bridge. Not medical advice. Not a miracle cure. A framework for understanding what is actually happening inside your body — so you can stop guessing and start making decisions based on mechanism, not marketing.
Three phases. Seven root mechanisms. 24 peer-reviewed references. 35 years of pattern recognition.
